For government employees, traveling abroad is not that easy. There's a lot of check list to do when following protocols a government employee must have in traveling outside the country. A mixed of fainting and crying moments will surely be on your way going unprepared to the immigration on your departure day.
By the way, Travel Authority is every government employees' gate pass on the immigrations when traveling outside the country. Please open link below.
Here's the steps I took when I applied for a TA.
1. School level clearance. Secure a clearance form and have it signed and approved.
2. Form 6 or Leave form. Fill in the form 6 as personal leave and have it approved. If the approval is the School's Division Superintendent, have it signed during your endorsement to the Division.
3. Intent letter. Write a letter indicating your purpose. Address the letter to your Division Superintendent thru your Principal.
Here's a sample of the request letter. 😉
Submit the intent letter together with the form 6 and clearance to your principal. The principal will write an endorsement letter to the Division Office.
4. Division level clearance. Be cleared at the Division Office. It took 2 hours for me to accomplished what is being asked. Good thing the personnels on the list were available that time. When done, keep the file copy of your letter received from the receiving section with tracking number attached. Tracking number lets you track the progress of your request thru the tracking site provided. I'm not sure if all DepEd Divisions have an active tracking website. It would surely be a convenient for teachers to monitor progress of their request. Also, keep the clearance file copy.
5. The Division personnel in-charge will be the one to endorse the request to the Regional Office.
6. From Regional Office to the Central Office and vice versa.
You can possibly hand the endorsement to the Region for faster transaction if the SDS is available to sign.
After all those endorsements, wait for your Travel Authority in a few months. And you're good to travel. 😉
I hope this blog would help you guys for your future travel.
It's better to follow protocols in traveling. Just keep all documents received when processing for the Travel Authority. It will surely be a great help when the request doesn't arrive on time. 🙂😉
God bless us all!
